Contribution to My Learning 5315 & 5320

I cannot believe how quickly these last eight weeks have gone. I went into 5315 and 5320 with confidence and ready to graduate. I knew that it was time to put all my hard work together and act on all the research that I have been searching for the past two years. Both of these courses allowed me to see my growth from beginning to end. Even though I took a semester off and was a couple of classes off from the rest of the peers I started with, they have still continued to help me throughout this whole process of finishing the ADL program. Patrick Rodriguez, Dawn Short, Karin Stateler, Andrea Harrell, and the rest of my peers on my GroupMe have all collaborated with me and provided appropriate feedback and feedforward that I needed to be successful on my assignments.

Course 5315 ensured me that students’ learning was the first priority. By selecting, implementing, and applying technology, I was able to use research from my literature review to help aid my research action plan. This course allowed me to put action into place and start implementing courses I have worked on with my students. Before starting the courses, I was allowed to trial and error and make the proper adjustments to get it ready for my students. I am currently on week five of my six-week ePortfolio course and I am looking forward to sharing my findings and results in my ePortfolio. This course allowed me to articulate my research topic and question, and locate and evaluate web-based resources that helped assess digital learning. Course 5320 allowed me to lead change in my organization by compiling all of my hard work. I embraced my technological innovation and I put it into action to benefit my community. I was able to compile all of my work since the beginning and provide updates to my innovation plan. This course allowed me to reflect on COVA, and analyze and synthesize the key aspects from the beginning of the course onto one page on my ePortfolio.

I enjoyed both of the courses the most because they had me reflect on where I was and where I am now. Both professors provided great feedback on all assignments and in a great timely matter. For both of these courses, I am giving myself an assessment score of 95. This is the highest I have ever scored myself and it’s because for the first time, I feel like I deserve it. I not only contributed to my learning but also helped most of my peers by providing feedback and feedforward. I am enjoying implementing my ePortfolio course with my students and I will soon hope to share this course with other educators at Professional Developments. I will continue to update my plans and continue to search for other resources that will benefit my student’s learning.
